Laat Saab is directed by Sunil Agnihotri and featured Jackie Shroff, Neelam, Asrani, Saeed Jaffrey, Sushma Seth, and Bharat Kapoor in main roles. Jackie is living in Shimla with his rich parents. He falls in love with Neelam when she goes there for a trip. While departing, she leaves a note for his to meet in Bombay (now Mumbai). When he reaches the address, he is informed by her dad that she died three years ago. Not ready to buy the story, he takes up the mission to find his soul-mate all alone.
