Formed with the direction of Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Gaban is a 1966 novel based Hindi film which casts Sunil Dutt, Sadhna, Minoo Mumtaz, Badri Prasad, and Leela Mishra in main roles. The song tracks from this portion were known for their heart pleasing lyrics made by Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri. The film is entirely based on a novel with the same name which was authored by Munshi Premchand.
