Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Lakshmi’ deals with the serious issue of forced minor prostitution. Lakshmi is a 13 year old minor, who gets kidnapped and later is sold off in a brothel. In inhumane conditions, she struggles to lead the life of a human with other girls going through the same hurdles. It is the story of a 13 year old who denies to give up even under unknown horrific situations.
