Parakh – O Sajana, Barakha Bahaar Aayee Song Lyrics

Parakh is a film written by Salil Chawdhury, the renowned music director. It is directed by Bimal Roy, who received the Filmafare Best Director Award for this film released in 1960. The film attempts to ridicule the Indian democracy in a noble way. A cheque of five lakh rupees is sent to a village postmaster who has to give the money to an honest person. When the word about the cheque spreads, five contenders come forward to claim their honesty. Since the money is meant for only one person, it is decided to choose the winner through election.
