Safed Jhooth is a 1978 light-hearted comedy film directed by Basu Chatterjee. It starred Ashok Kumar, Vidya Sinha, Vinod Mehra, Amol Palekar, Deven Verma, and Mithu Mukherjee in lead roles. The film is about a sensitive person who has lost his sister and has become over-protective towards a girl whom he treats like his sister. He is also saving her from a man trying to woo her. However, he finds out that the girl is not what she is claiming to be.
