Umrao Jaan – 2006 – Pehle Pehel Song Lyrics

Umrao Jaan was another attempt to recreate the story of the famous Lucknow-based courtesan from a novel by Mirza Hadi Ruswa. The film was produced and directed by J. P. Dutta and starred Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. The film was compared with the 1981 classic film in which Rekha dazzled in all disciplines. This very comparison proved a debacle for it since the critics, and audience could not forget the previous film.
