Via Darjeeling has an ensemble cast in Kay Kay Menon, Sonali Kulkarni, Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, and Sandhya Mridul as lead protagonists. The film is directed by Arindam Nandy who is making his directorial debut in 2004. The plot is about a honeymoon couple enjoying the scenic beauty of Darjeeling. On the day of their departure, the husband mysteriously goes missing. The wife tries to find him frantically and files an FIR. The film then progresses further with the inspector discussing the case with his friends and each of them interpreting the case according to their IQ.
