Water (2005) – Naina Naina Neer Bahaye Song Lyrics

This Canadian film was directed by Ms Deepa Mehta and written by Mr Anurag Kashyap who did the translation of dialogues in Hindi for the Indian audience. The film is set in times of 1938 and depicts the lives of some widows staying in one ashram based in the City of Varanasi in India. The film introspects the tales of widows from rural India and touches the controversial topic of ostracism and misogyny. The star cast for the film is inclusive of John Abraham and Lisa Ray in lead roles along with Seema Biswas, Manorama and Sarala Kariyawasam in supporting characters. The music composition for the songs of the film is done by Mr A.R Rahman.
